Application for Membership
___________________________________________ hereby applies for membership in the New York State Council of Churches, known as NYSCC. We are an ecclesiastical unit (example: conference, diocese, district, presbytery, synod, area, region) of a Christian denomination within the State of New York.
We endorse the constitution of the NYSCC, including its preamble and purpose.
We agree to designate a representative to serve on the Collegium. Normally this is the Bishop or chief executive.
We agree to provide persons to serve on the Committees and Commissions of the NYSCC.
We agree to contribute a fair share toward the financial support of the NYSCC.
We have enclosed descriptive information about ourselves as an ecclesiastical unit to let you know more about who we are. If requested, we agree to meet with the Membership Committee to discuss our application and the work of the NYSCC.
