2026 Anti-Hunger Advocacy Day

Join us on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at the NYS Capitol for a press conference and legislative office meetings focused on statewide solutions to mitigate hunger and food hardship and strengthen nutrition security across New York State. Advocates from across the state will highlight efforts to:

- Protect and strengthen SNAP amid federal cuts.

- Brace increasing WIC participation.

- Sustain SNAP outreach and application assistance.

- Transition to more secure SNAP EBT chip cards.

- Ensure all New Yorkers receive a SNAP benefit of at least $100 per month.

- Extend food assistance benefits to New Yorkers excluded due to their immigration status.

- Increase funding for hunger relief programs including HPNAP, Nourish New York, and Double Up Food Bucks.
