Housing vouchers are one of the fastest and most effective ways to give people permanent homes where they don't have to spend more than 30% of their income on housing
Emergency Housing Vouchers, CityFHEPS Vouchers, Section 8 Vouchers are available but they are hard to access and use and of limited supply. In the 2023 legislative session, we need to pass a bill providing statewide Housing Access Vouchers.
In this seminar, we will explain the strengths and weaknesses of the voucher system and how you can obtain a voucher if you are a renter and receive a voucher if your are a landlord. Remedies to the voucher system will also be discussed.
