Following the July 1st interfaith vigil denouncing mass deportations, we are now implementing follow-up activities to that vigil as ICE raids continue to plague our Long Island immigrant neighbors and immigrants across the country.
Please join us for the next interfaith event, an August 14th prayer walk protesting mass deportations and the unlawful, cruel use of the Nassau County Jail to hold immigrants arrested by ICE. The prayer walk, at the Nassau jail, 10:30-11:30 AM, will feature clergy in religious vestments and other people of faith prayerfully protesting the use of the jail to detain immigrants, most of whom have no criminal record.
