Learning Clinic: Using Church Property to Strengthen Church Ministry

This in-person learning Clinic features Shelly Stackhouse, Senior Director of Programs at Partners for Sacred Places. She led this workshop in January at New Rochelle, and many pastors, Trustee chairs and laity attended and found the workshop content very helpful. She also led a "How To Hour" with Rev. Doris K. Dalton, Director of Connectional Ministries, on December 4, 2024 to give an abbreviated overview of How to Use Church Property to Strengthen Church Ministry. You can watch a recording of this How To Hour at this link. The in-person event on September 27th is a full-length session including opportunities for team-based learning in small groups.

This Learning Clinic is highly recommended for Cooperative Parish leaders, pastors, lay leaders, and members of Boards of Trustees, Church Councils, and District Boards of Church Location and Building. We strongly encourage church leadership teams or Cooperative Parish teams to participate.

Event Details:

• Date and Time: Saturday, September 27, 2025. Check in begins at 9:30am. The event will be from 10am to 2:30pm.
• Location: White Plains Memorial UMC (250 Bryant Ave, White Plains, NY 10605). There is free parking in the church parking lot and free street parking.
• Registration: Registration is required, and is $20.00 per person. There will be a $12 "Early Bird" Registration Fee that ends on September 10th. Your registration fee covers your meal and materials. Registration closes on September 25th. There will be no registration on site.
• Meals: Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
