HOUSING AND ALBANY'S MAYORAL CANDIDATES

Over the past several years, Housing for All's priorities have focused on supporting policies that increase the number of affordable housing units in the City of Albany, strengthen tenant protections, limit the number of short-term rentals, and other issues that address housing inequalities. These priorities have been consolidated into a 2025 Housing Platform. Our Housing Platform was sent to all the candidates running for office. Some responded, many did not.

Housing for All had hoped to have a candidates forum/debate on housing but not all of the candidates could attend.  However, there are several other debates which we encourage you to attend.

Housing for All is submitting a list of questions based on our Housing Platform for this upcoming debate:

On Tuesday, June 3rd,  the NAACP, along with several other organizations, is holding a mayoral debate from 6 to 8pm at Capital Repertory Theater, 251 N. Pearl St.
