Sun Day is a national mobilization on September 21, 2025 by a large coalition of which Third Act is a founding partner. Inspired by the transformative impact of the original Earth Day in 1970, Sun Day will harness the power of people, culture, and advocacy to accelerate the clean energy transition at the scale needed to meet global climate goals.
Sun Day is designed to engage people across the nation in support of electrification and rapid advancement of solar energy generation and storage. Through local community events and national online campaigns, Sun Day will spotlight how solar and wind are the most affordable, most reliable, and most expeditious sources of energy.
Sun Day will be a celebration and a call to action, bringing together activists, businesses, workers, homeowners, renters, farmers, schools, and policymakers to demonstrate widespread public support for the ongoing transition to renewable energy.
