We, of the Capital Region Sanctuary Coalition, are inviting you to a meeting on Tuesday, July 29 (1:00 - 2:30) on Zoom to discuss the current situation regarding the dangers our local immigrant communities are facing because of the increased immigration enforcement actions of the federal government.
The Capital Region Sanctuary Coalition (CRSC), a coalition of dozens of local community-based organizations and more than a hundred individual volunteers, was established in 2023 to assist newly-arrived asylum seekers in the Capital Region. Since January 2025, the CRSC's work has expanded to focus on rapid response efforts to protect our communities from increased immigration enforcement and to prevent family separation. We have heard from many faith community leaders and members, that they feel a deep call to help their immigrant neighbors during this frightening time, but are not quite sure about what specific actions to take. We are hoping that this meeting will provide some concrete answers to your concerns and begin building an even stronger partnership of care for our most vulnerable neighbors.
