Book Study: Word, Silence and the Climate Emergency

The Reformed Church in America Synod of Albany is sponsoring a book discussion on Word, Silence and the Climate Emergency by British theologian Timothy Gorringe. We will meet in September and October by Zoom and /or in person. The author is planning on joining us for one or more of the sessions. While discussions will focus on the response of the Christian church to the climate crisis, people of all faith traditions are welcome. Click on the RSVP link for more information and to register.

Does Christian theology take the climate crisis seriously? How do we live in the shadow of disaster as people of faith. Join the Revs. John Paarlberg, Daniel Carlson, Kent Busman and friends for a study of Word, Silence and the Climate Emergency: God, Ekklesia and Christian Doctrine by Timothy Gorringe, Anglican priest, theologian and member of the Iona Community. This book study group will meet Mondays in Fall 2025 and culminate in a retreat at Camp Fowler. There is no charge for participating partial scholarships are available to cover the cost of the book.
