The conflict between Palestinians and Israelis has festered for over a century. Since October 7th, in different ways, people in the region and around the world have been living under the shadow of that horrific day and its brutal aftermath. Most of us focus upon specific human suffering, specific violence and devastation.
This event is a rare chance to be human together; to be in the same room to listen to the voices of Palestinians and Israelis on the ground, and to engage, safely, in dialogue with “the other” around the painful topic of “Israel/Palestine.” It is an opportunity to get out of our comfort zones, to ask questions, to learn, to make connections and, perhaps, to inspire hope.
